Introduction

            There was a time in history when an artistic person had to rely on a patron to support the talent.  Churches, princes and wealthy merchants provided the funds that allowed us to have some the great works of sculpture, painting, music and writing we enjoy now.

            The patron now is the public.  If they like a work, they heap rewards of money, prestige and respect.  If they don’t, the work dies of its own weight.  There is just one problem with the artist of today reaching the public that may be waiting.

            The barrier is the agent and publisher system.  A writer may not find a publisher because he or she has no agent.  An agent may not accept a writer who has never been published.

            Scrap all that.  IPS Publishing is in business with a goal to bring author or artist and the people together.

            With over half a century in the writing, publishing and creative field, the leadership of IPS Publishing seeks to bring the experience and best of the past into the new world of the arts.  From a background printing methods with raised type and engravings through the electronic age of art offered through cyberspace, IPS Publishing wants to go into new fields for creative talent and readers.

            We plan to offer opportunities for authors to reach a mass market and for readers and customers to find new talent and affordable manner.  Our goal is to offer works in a variety of forms from electronic books to book-azines to hard copy.  And we will offer an avenue for musicians and others to reach a market even if published by another publisher or self-published.

            There were once few choices for writers seeking publication.  There were hard cover books and paperbacks.  Now there are e-books and publishing methods as yet unthought of.

            IPS Publishing has introduced the book-azine.  It’s a book in a magazine format, affordable and portable. We will offer a galaxy of publishing systems for the benefit of the author and buyer.  We welcome new ideas and new thoughts.

            We are anchored by over 50 years in the writing and publishing business, aided by the input of newer talented staff members of varied experience.

            We will offer publishing through e-books, hard cover, soft cover, our own innovation of book-azines and, very likely, ways you will suggest.  We will also offer a venue for artists in other fields to expand their talents.  Further, we will build a team of editors and researchers who can meet any challenge to assist an author.
